About Me
Multi-cultural background
Born in Germany to an Irish mother and an American father, I developed a fascination with languages from an early age. From transcribing telephone conversations to writing diaries, creating stories and poems and contributing to the school newspaper I could always be found meddling with words, in my two native tongues, German and English.

Writing successes - past and present
  • At university, I was in the top five in a German language poetry competition.
  • In industry, I wrote the winning entry for a call centre competition.
  • I currently work as Editor of the advanced German language learning magazine Authentik auf Deutsch. I previously edited the intermediate magazine Katapult.
  • Publications have included various editions of the German language learning magazines Katapult and Authentik, a number of short stories, and more recently, Flash Fiction.
  • I am currently ghost-writing a memoir for an Irishman who spent many exciting years in Africa.
  • I am also writing my first novel.
